shocking or what
I have a 2000 7.3l excursion and do a lot of road driving and occasionally haul a 28' travel trailer. I don't want a stiff ride but don't expect it to not feel like a truck. I have a question about shocks or springs. When I go over speed bumps at over 20 mph or off a curb sometimes the springs bottom out. My mechanic commented that the spring stops are shot. It has 150,000 KM on it so I don't think that the springs are worn out and it has not been used for off road. Would a set of Rancho shocks or procomp help to stop the sudden pressure on the spring from causing some bottoming out?
