Hey all,
My passenger door is making all sorts of noise now. It sounds like its not closing! I can hear it bounce back and forth while im driving, like the locking mechanism doesnt work now or something. Seems all my passengers find it funny to slam it or something . Any ideas? Also, my check engine light popped on the other day....ill leave that one for another day.
Does the door drop down when you open it, or can you move the door up and down when it's open? If so the hinges could be worn out. If the hinges seem OK, it could be the pin the door latches on is either loose or out of adjustment. Usually they can be adjusted so the door will seal snuggly into the opening.

Thanks for the reply. I will look in the morning, but Im almost positive the door doesnt hang at all. This bronco is in great condition. It only started doing this a few days ago. Any idea how to adjust this pin assembly? Also, now that I remember it, my tailgate seems to be a bit off kilter. The right side (looking at it) seems to go in a lil bit further than the left, and as a result, the window doesnt always like to go up. This a simple fix? The window motor is fine, Im just assuming whatever connection used to tell the window to go up isnt connecting.
Get a Torx T-50 bit for your ratchet and you'll be able to adjust/remove/install the striker bolts for the doors & tailgate, AND remove/install your seat belts.
