well i replaced the vss for giggles it didnt fix it. took it to the shop today and had the codes pulled and came back with the famous TC code. ford tech said i could try to drain and change filter and see if it helps or get a new tranny.

Sorry to hear that. Hope the fluid and filter change does the trick,i know it's a long shot,didnt work for me but i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

yeah i dont figure it will work either. wonder how much i can pick one of these trans up from a boneyard for? was thinking about the zf5 swap but i gotta do this as cheap as possible i decided i would rather have a mud bogger so not trying to spend a bunch of money

surprisingly there are a good amount of rebuild autos going for super short money for some reason, ive been seeing ford remans going for under a grand on craigslist. my cousin got his reubild with ~15k on it for 4 or 500$
