Updated fuel spring part #
I have to tow a loaded trailer this weekend and would like to have it done by then.
How hard is it to replace?
you have a PM
3c3z-9t517-ag $$ 76.65$$ regulator kit
this kit has the blue spring with all the gaskets for the upper fuel bowel and lines
if you dont need the gaskets just get the spring it was like 25.00 IIRC
this is one of those deals it takes longer to find the tools than to change the spring

and part # 6E7Z-9C165-B has just the spring and seal?
Is that right?
Part # 6E7Z-9C165-B should be just the spring and seal.
I have not personally verified the second part number content, but I have been told by several sources that that is what it is. Partsguyed and tousleyfordparts on-line ordering does not find that part though.
I did not have the 6E7Z-9C165-B part number to inquire about. Until now...
I searched the base part number (middle part) of bismic's part number in a Ford to IH crossreference list that I have. It found this number: 3C3Z 9C165 AA. The crossreference is probably outdate to some extent (08/2005), but the base numbers generally stay the same and it does pull up on Tousley's website.

The IH number in my crossreference doesn't match one of the two listed on this site, but again my list is outdated to some extent. I mainly use it as a starting point for parts searching.
3C3Z-9T517-AG superceded (replaced) 3C3Z-9T517-AE
Info source: When the 3C3Z-9T517-AE part number is typed into the Ford Dealer Parts Locator System, and/or PARTSGUYED.COM website: That's exactly what it says = SUPERCEDED!
They might have some left over and are tryin' to pawn one off onto you.

And, just for sh**s and giggles: 3C3Z-9T517-AE = The last MSRP was $73.32, dealer net cost was: $43.99.

There are dozens of AE's still available from FoMoCo Dealers, but you cannot order it from FoMoCo, because it was replaced by ^ ^ this number.
FoMoCo is in-famous for replacing (updating/superceding) 10's of 1000's of part numbers EVERY
YEAR! Keeping track of all these part number changes is a royal PITA!
