Uneven Body Lines

I noticed recently that the lines between my cab and bed on the passenger side are pretty off. The bed sits considerably above the cab but the driver's side is straight as an arrow. Is this maybe cab bushings or something? And what's involved in repairing this?

Check behind the rear seat/carpet area, see if the bushing mount plate has rusted away,
You can also look from under the cab looking up at the rear mount area, the cab may have rusted around the mounts (or mount on the right side) and the cab is starting to settle on the rails of the frame

Unless the frame was bent at one time ,it was most likely made that way .. You can shim the rear if the cab if you want ...Mine is like that too , but mine is from a 3 foot diameter stump ...

Could be cab bushings... Is she rusty? Might be rotted cab mounts. seen that happen a lot. Hopefully its not the later... crawl under there and give it a good look.

Mines the same way. With as much frame flex as these rigs have, even parking on a pebble with one tire can cause the body lines to be off. I say don't worry about it unless you're feeling super ambitious and just want something to do.

No rust exept the lightest bit on the diff cover and a couple spots on the frame.

I kinda do want something to do but that's not it. Maybe some GP's or rest of the exhaust soon but I'll probably let this ride.

Thanks guys!

Mine too.. I only notice because of the pin-stripe I have, still bugs me real bad... looks like I would have to drop my front tank to have clear access to the drivers side one...maybe I'm wrong...? Are 250 and 350 set up the same, what about regular cab to crew cab??

Like Chase said - these things flex, and the CC's are most pronounced. I quit worrying about mine after a couple months as it became too mind boggling - the adjustment required changed with where it was parked on the hill. I reset my threshold at getting the doors aligned with each other and the cab...that doesn't seem to be driven by the slope its parked on.

If I watch close enough while driving down the road, I can see the bed wiggle on my truck on even the smallest of bumps. It's really quite insane how much frame flex these rigs have, especially the redneck limo version like I have.

I have the same issue at both corners. I was advised on FTE when I asked that the OEM rubber mounts break down and collapse also. You can look at your core support mounts and see how the rubber breaks apart. Cab mounts do the same thing. Poly mounts are cheap compared to OEM rubber but I was told you will feel it in the cab due to the harshness of the poly mounts. Mine are off a 1/2 inch from the bed. I am going to pull my bed for some other mods/maintenance and may shim my cab back up to equal the bed lines.
