Will do. I forgot to mention that I also received the rear overload springs. Can these be incorporated in anyway to my rear springs? It looks like this is removed when going with the modified B code swap so probably not, but thought I would ask. After looking through the box of items, I did not get the rear blocks, they are the front spring perches/plates and I also have a piece that I don't know what it is. It is a fairly large metal piece in the general shape of a triangle. I'll snap a picture in case nobody knows what this is from my awesome description
Sounds like the big triangular piece might be the stock front shock mount bracket, some lift kits change over to twin shocks and the stock bracket gets removed, I got them with my springs too. As far as the overload being incorporated into the stock rear spring pack......maybe....? You would have to compare it's length to whats in the stock pack to see where it might fit and then deal with adding the little plastic slider pads (I burned up a couple of bits in my drillpress doing mine that I added to my X codes) and then deal with the stock leaf band/clip thingys. I would just keep an eye out for some B codes and do the mod to them. (Ex spacers and bottom two leaves).
WoW! Sounds like you are all set now. You are welcome for the help but the credit needs to go to Red EX, his list helped me figure out my springs.
Thanks. Glad I could help but the real thanks goes out to all the other great members as they helped me back when it was my turn for the V/mod B upgrade.
I do not think I would try to incorporate a rear overload spring. I can not imagine being able to put enough weight in the back to need it. With the mod B code and a WD hitch I only sag 1.25" with a 1300lb tongue 10klb trailer. The ride with the mod B code is great both loaded and empty. Overloads also tend to introduce a kick on larger bumps. Just my $.02.
