Im having a stalling problem. I have a 2001 excurision with 6.8 v 10. the only mods I have on it is a cat back system, throttle body spacer and an cold air intake. it has only stalled on me twice in the last two years. both times my foot was on the gas the first time i was in drive just starting and today wile backing into a parking space. checked for codes no codes. has any one else seen this?
Mine used to stall when I had a COP and my OSS going bad. It stalled again recently, but soon after I put the cold air intake on and cleaned the MAF while at it, and it hasn't happened since.
Do you have a tuner and are you the original owner?...I ask this because if it doesn't have the stock tune...it may be running a little lean from a tune in the PCM and under certain conditions it may be starved for fuel due to the tune...just throwing out ideas as I type.
Good luck and welcome to FTE!...you can also post this in the V10 forum since those guys are more in tune with V10 related issues whereas the Ex forum is more Ex specific and the Ex's came with 4 different engines in it's lifetime...
i'm not the origanal owner. I haven't put a tunner on it I don't know if the origanal owner did or not. I have changed the fuel filter every 30,000 miles and do all regular maintance on it. the truck has 115,000 miles on it.
