Gear shift indicator
'92 F150,xlt.....The little red bar, that indicates what gear the transmission is in, has disappeared!!! Actually, when I put it in park it is just barely visible all the way to the right side. What happened? Is this easy to fix?

If you don't know how to pull the lower column shroud (remove lock cylinder & 4 phillips screws), use an inspection mirror to look inside it and you'll find a white hard plastic tube about 1/8" diameter looping under the column to a little black knurled wheel on the R side. The wheel adjusts the position of the pointer, but it sounds like your cable may have broken, or more likely, your pointer inside the cluster. If spinning the wheel doesn't fix it, you'll have to pull the cluster & replace the shift indicator. If the wheel only fixes it for a while, you'll have to replace the cable (IF they even sell it separately).
