speed control deactivation switch ??

Finally getting around to replacing my scds, re-call. Do I need to put thread seal on the new switch where it threads into the master cylinder - If so what kind?? Thanks, Bill

I didn't use any type of sealer and no leak since Feb 2010.

Don't torque it down to much, Snug will do. You can always go back to tighten it up.
I did a truck that sheared the extruded portion clean off. Hardly tugged on it. I think it was a flaw in the material.

Ya Dan - I saw on the install instructions - think it said 13 ft.lbs. torque- Thanks for the heads up.

I was getting recall letters about every three months because I did the CC switch and CPS myself. I finally took it to the dealership and got them to sign off on it and the recall letters stopped coming.
