Since I'm no longer in the tree business I didn't need the trailers that I had so I sold my dump trailer and my big 24' trailer and got a decent used 7x16 enclosed trailer.
Nice, so what you gonna haul in that nice trailer?
With the new job, we'll probably have to move and probably more than once. Plus, I think if I'm going to only have one trailer, that's what I want it to be.

Oh, plus the little skid steer you can see in the background does actually fit in the trailer so I can also sell the trailer I used to haul the skid steer. That and the wife's Durango are next on my list of stuff to get rid of. Got to love Craigslist.
Some of the pics you would post from the tree biz were really impressive.
Made me go !
Well, I'm still doing some of that milling with my chainsaw and as you can see, I still have my skid steer. If you look in the background of the first picture you can see one of the stacks of logs that I have still waiting to mill up.

Scott, first congrats on the job and nice trailer. Also that's a great place to call home!
The wood milling is a beautiful sight to behold. I never would have thought those slabs would come out that nice with a chainsaw.
I also have to comment on your signature on the arborist site, my sentiments also. With so many people of all ages on social sites such as Facebook, I see a lot of abuse (misuse) of english.
Since you can never have too much storage space and since I had this tool box on the other trailer that I am going to sell, I decided to put it on here:
gr8scott72 I was in the tree industry since 1977, stopped 4 years ago. 2 years after I stopped I developed Tinnitus, almost think that I would have been better off if I had continued to climb, can't get the bee out of my ear. Hope you never have problems with the ringing

I've actually had the ringing in my left ear since I was 14. I had a gun misfire and that was the loudest thing I've ever heard. I lost a little hearing in my left ear in the upper frequencies. Not really that big of a deal but I do wish the ringing would stop.
I do go to great lengths to protect what hearing I have left. I don't EVER run my big saw without some kind of hearing protection. I seldom even run my small chainsaw without protection either.

Not sure if it was the big saws or if it was my tree saw, the small ones have such a high pitch, which ever it was is water under the bridge or saw dust in the pocket. For you too get it at such a young age must have been a bitch. Took me about 3 or more months to adjust so that I could sleep when it first started. I see people with thier radio's blasting now and think-- just wait. Was just telling my better half last night that while the ringing sucks, if it had to happen I am glad it was later in life.

I'm with both of you, left ear shot except for the loud ringing. Mine's from flying planes for 35 years though. Sux when the loudest thing I hear is a tuning fork ringing.......
What sux is I never heard of Tinnitus till the ringing started and I went to an ear doc, told me what it was, and was really up front about saying that there are operations they can perform on your ear, but that they have such a limited success that he doesn't recommend it. Not sure if you guys have checked out the Tinnitus reasearch group(google--can't remember the name)but some people get it so bad they can't function. Stinks that I have it but at least it'snot that bad
