no and imo it will not ever be. they only time that this is done is with larger trucks used only as ohv. there can be major issue with people randomly doing regens while sitting.
a person walking by can be very badly burned, a house could catch on fire.
exhasut temp at the tip durring regen can hit 14-1600*f
I swear I saw that that was going to be an option for something like job 2-3 trucks?
Job 2 is out. I believe there is an option to do a manual regen, but the same criteria applies, speed etc. Cannot do while sitting. Anyone have a job 2, what does the manual say, mine is job 1.
My manual talks about being able to do a manual regen. My truck has a build day of 11/27. I believe the only time you can do a manual regen is when the truck gives you the option. If your vehicle cannot regen completely on its own then the "Drive to clean exhaust" message will appear. If after that the regen is not complete the truck will go into reduced power mode and give you the option to start a regen from parked position. I could be completely wrong but thats the way I understood it.

I feel that Ford’s idea with the C&C parked regeneration is (A) the C&C trucks tend to be utility company bucket trucks, brush trucks for fire departments, etc. that spend a lot of time at idle or high idle and (B) who have mechanics who maintain these vehicles and would (or should) know how to manual regen properly and safely.
There are those of us here who understand how to be safe and how to maintain our vehicles but that isn’t the case for a majority of the pickup owners.
They want something they can drive and pull their equipment (horse trailer, travel trailer, etc.) without much user input from them except to add fuel and take it to a dealer for normal maintenance.
Ford doesn’t have the time nor would they want to maintain a different software build for those of us who want a little more responsibility.
Like most have said around here, this truck handles these tasks well.
The only impact is the MPG drop and the smell of burning soot in your nose.
