So, i was peeking under my bronco, and noticed that the rear part of the bushing on passenger side radius arm bushing is almost gone, and that the drivers side is a different type(not rubber) bought the replacements, and im gonna be doing them today. also, gonna try to get some pics/vid of it. im one of the lucky ones from what i can see on the forums, i have no rivets in the frame, just bolts. any tips to make it go easier for me? i saw somewhere it said to use a jack to hold the radius arm up while doing it as well? ill post a vid as soon as i have it done. i was told it shouldnt take too long, as i wont have to even get the truck off the ground. any tips are much appreciated.
alright, thats done. was cleaning up, excited to take her for a ride.... and forgot to pick up my camera, it went crunch, appearantly, cameras are not meant to have 6,000lbs on top of them, who knew....so no pics or vid, and i get to go buy a new camera now.(bangs head on wall).
i didnt use the moog kit, used a generic poly kit, but they did go very, very well. took 1.5hrs on each side, started with the passenger side. glad to report that the brackets were not oval'd out either. i did use a pair of straps to hold the axle forward while doing the removal of the brackets. old bushings were really, really worn, to the point of almost breaking through on the front big bushings. Its amazing to me how much different it rides now. still has some play in the steering, but not nearly as bad as it was. i am gonna have it apart again soon when i do my lift on it, and hopefully, will not leave my $400 camera under the tires.
