Cortex vs. Mileage xs

Looking into buying a superchips programmer but not sure if I want the Mileage xs or cortex. Cortex is nice cause the 2 year powertrain warranty. Anyone have either of these that they would reccommend over another? Buddy of mine got the mileage xs and jumped from 11 mpg to 22. and NO i am not getting a dp tuner so please dont try talking me into one i want superchips cause me and my dad have the same truck and can switch it from truck to truck

There is not a chip/programmer on the market that will give you an 11 mpg jump. PERIOD, unless he is using the over head display to get this. We call that thing the lie-o-meter. Once you get a chip/programmer, that thing is useless. I was getting over 60 mpg when I put my injectors in, according to that thing.

I was running the Cortex, can't really knock it, the performance was good for what it is and it is nice having the ability to read codes and see your 60 ft, 1/4 mile times, etc. It pretty much did the trick until a DP tuner came into my life. Now I won't go back. Just so you know, once you program one of your trucks, you cannot use it to program the other without unprogramming the first one.

I have one that is pretty much brand new, still has the stickers for it and everything, haha. was gonna try and get $300 out of it, paid almost $400
