Good morning everyone! We have made it thru so far! As long as the river banks dont break we should be thru this. I must say, the diesel came thru like a champ! Towing large trees out of the street and plowing thru knarly water covered roads.

8 confirmed fatalities in this area so far. Widespread damage from several tornadoes and straight line winds. Power out to nearly 100,000 in this county alone. Ringgold, GA (just to the south of us) is nearly gone according to reports on the radio/TV....huge tornadoes went through several parts of that town.
Only very minor damage at my house, but no power since yesterday morning.

We had many tornados here last night. As I understand entire communities are gone. Camp Creek is one of them. We made it all right. Spent most of the night in a closet under a mattress. Not a good night at all. Didn't go to bed until after 2:00 am. Luckily my job is flexible and I came in to work late today.
I hope everybody else here made it out OK.

Whoever it is that has been praying for different kinds of weather, will you please just stop it? You have 'way too much influence with the man upstairs...
That having been said - I've had to do an insurance claim because my roof is shot. Whoever the hell put those shingles up never even laid tar paper under them, and now it leaks like the whole thing was covered with GAUZE for crying out loud. If you wondered where I've been lately I've been kind of preoccupied.
Somebody had to change the buckets and basins up in the attic!
If I lose this place I'm going to Texas.
