I went to look at a truck yesterday. I only need something to work with for a few months until I get my engine done and in my truck. I found a 95 F250 with a 300/5spd and 2wd for $800!!!
Well, I didn't buy it. Yup, it was THAT rough. The bed was a mess, but not a huge deal. No tailgate, could have used mine and risked loosing paint. The two biggest problems were, on both sides the rear spring hangers were pretty bad, and I need a truck to haul a lot of weight. The second thing was, the front bumper was V-ed in the middle and had shoved both fenders into the doors, and instead of pulling them back out or at least trimming them, he just forced open the doors! Crinkled everything. It looked bad, but I'd say it took one heck of a shot to the front end to cause all of that and it's a safety risk I won't take at any price.
Moral of the story? If it's too good to be true....
