Dave,
Do you have a cousin named Moses or something that sounds something like that? When I was out getting parts today I saw a guy that looked a lot like you and acted kinda like you and I think he said his name was Moses...
kevin- it goes back together with a big hammer and some welding.
josiah gave me a hand with it earlier and we got the frame sandblasted as well as certain areas on the cab.
jim- my dad was doing very well, had the surgery on his shoulder and is now one winger again. he is probably going to get both knees done once his shoulder is better.
Hopefully there's not too much rain this weekend.
The ground around here is pretty saturated and I have all the drainage pipe + PVC for leader drains sitting in a pile beside my house.
I'd like to lead it to some kind of cistern for use later in the season but my priority is to keep the basement dry.
Suppose instead I'll be ripping out more moldy "paneling" down there....
Jim the pipe is not doing much good sitting in a pile, LOL.
OH, SURE!
.....Now you tell me.
I wish there was a way to magically get it in the ground but the gas line is along that side of the building and I don't feel like standing ankle deep in mud in a ditch today.
Instead I'm in the basement ripping out ANOTHER wall of cheesy '70's faux woodgrain paneling and furring out the wall with some 5/4 PT so I have somewhere to hang some shelves.
This house is so small there's no way I can fit my stuff.
Well, I've ripped that crap out, furred out the wall and made a trip to the dump with the debris.
The wall is 11'2" long and 8" out of plane in the middle!
I attached some PT 2x8 on edge with metal angles to the worst of the wall and rippings of other widths at about 32" O.C.
Then some PT 5/4" strapping horizontally, and finally, vertical pressure treated 1x2's at 16 O.C.
I love my Hilti DX-350
Too much rain to go pick up sheet goods to cover it today.
