Tom Daschle Takes a Cheapshot
"I'm saddened," Daschle, D-South Dakota, said in a speech to the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. "Saddened that this president failed so miserably at diplomacy that we're now forced to war. Saddened that we have to give up one life because this president couldn't create the kind of diplomatic effort that was so critical for our country."
That is another showing that we as the United States of America will not fall from another countries attack, but we will fall from within. It's going to be sad when these men and woman that serve our country and are fighting to keep it, will return because they will be spit upon by the ignorance of the people. It seems to me that history is repeating itself once again. can anyone remember how our troops were treated when they returned from Vietnam?
The people holding up that banner are the ones that need to be dragged out into the middle of the street and shot. If you don't like the way the U.S. of A. is doing things MOVE OUT!!!!!! We don't need you here anyway!!!!!!
I must be the only one in South Dakota that thinks that Daschle should shut his trap, I'm really hoping the people of this state pull their heads out of the sand when his re-election comes up.
Who was it that wanted Bush to go to the UN.....umm lets see....oh yeah, the Democrats!
I guess the Dems think that they could have done better.
I can just see Al Gore now...

Now he knows how I felt when we had an American warship attacked by a row boat and the Clinton/Daschle/Gore (Three stooges look alike winners) did nothing but encourage and empower the perpetrators and their organization.
Is that where they got the nerve to kill even more people in NYC?
I understand your feelings, but let's not go overboard. We don't need to shoot people who disagree with us. We can merely insult them if we have to. But make sure that what they say is wrong.

i second that! you spit on ANY of our troops and youre spiting on me. this 250#, 5'9 Viking/American wont stand for it especialy since my best friend is piloting his C-130 over 250,000 of his and our friends.
if id have been alive during the vietnam war and seen anyone spiting on our troops, id have done what i could to show those people hell on earth. call me what you will but NOTHING justifies spiting on men and women doing their job and maybe laying down their lives. NOTHING.
Hard to tell if the photo is related to a political remark, where is the photo from? And how would they be related? Like a butterfly wing starts the breeze that becomes a hurricane related or a gas guzzeling suv supporting terrorism related or a gunshot wound to bullet related, or what? Is Daschle holding the sign? Did he pay for it ? Isn't this exactly what the US position has been to Iraqi troops, that we will support their insurection, if they mount one? Without a cite or caption, hard to tell who's views are represented by the signholders. But, they got their 15 min. of fame I guess, wouldn't have seen that sentiment otherwise. thanks for the posting.

I'm a South Dakotan who feels the same way. Bush has had overwhelming support from the people of our state, but it seems our senators won't listen to us. I think that Daschle is just power hungry and appears to be a very poor looser after the elections last fall. I was thinking about this tonight, how Daschle and other's say Bush didn't do enough diplomacy to try and avoid war. What was done during the Clinton administration? Nothing has changed since then, Sadam was suppose to dissarm then too. Now we have leaders in this country who are following through on their promises to the people of this great nation. I don't mind it if people don't agree, but I don't think speeking out in a manner that seems to divide the country when we are going to war is a good idea. We need to be united against our enemies and protect our country and then settle our differences later. If this isn't the right thing to do, the people will make President Bush pay for it by not reelecting him. So far this President has followed through on what he said he was going to do during his campaigne (i.e tax cuts, education).
I don't see the connection between Daschle's comments and the picture of the protestors, other than both are against war. It is intersting how the "peace protestors" often seem to vandalize property and cause problems and get arrested. I was also wondering if any body has been to a Rally For America? I know they have been having them around the nation for a few weeks now, and heard one is going to be in our area at the end of the month.
Hey guys don't be so hard on your state!!
I did ask my friend who lives in S. Dakota what is the matter with you folks up there.
He tells me that Daschle talks like a conservative when he is in the state, and he brings home the bacon (PORK).
Down here in Nebraska we had the same situation with Bob Kerrey, and every election his margin of victory got smaller, and his approval numbers were shrinking, so do you know where he went?
He now is the president of New York City's New School, some kind of Alternative pinko College, and the students there are protesting him because they think he is too right-wing.
Give Me A Break!!!
If I ever go to NYC, the Lord can strike me dead!!
It seems Mr. Daschle is a 2-faced politician. When Clinton attacked targets in Iraq in 1996 and 1998, Daschle was preaching almost word for word what Bush is saying now.
I'll be really surprised if this man gets re-elected. He obviously has NO class.

That's news to me, I sure don't see it in my paycheck. In fact the people that want to put money back in my pocket (Bush and many others), happens to be from other states. And the guy from my state wants to make my pay check smaller (Daschle)!
The only thing that Daschle brings home to his home state is talk.
If Daschle is or talks like a conservative, I've got some ocean front property to sell you in South Dakota!
