Any ideas what to do if the welded on nuts have gone missing under the top rail of the bed? Just bought a '93 EB and am presently making it whole from the previous loser. I am reinstalling the roof top trim and found about 1/2 of the nuts on either side are not there.
FYI - I found all the plastic trim that goes around the entire inside top for $50, plus fasteners at a local salvage yard...I'm pretty proud of that
Ditto to Steve83's post and the top front three are actually just captive not really welded in which makes getting the bolts lined up a lot easier.
Not to detract from the safety of having all the hardware in the top thats was designed to be there but, I rarely put ALL the hardware back in mine. Four corners are all I usually have installed and have never had leak or vibration problems with this setup. Takes a lot less time to yank the top off in nice weather too!
