How long does it have to sit before it restarts? Do you get any smoke from the tailpipe when cranking it?

If it kills itself I'm thinking the ip is getting weak. Anyone with me on that?

once it cools yes it will start again and it has had the ip pump pulled and rebuilt just before he bought truck and he put about 4000 miles on it before problem started could it be a FSS problem after running that long

I read recently in the stickies at oilburners.net that a bad injection pump will sometimes cause a no start when hot.
Have you checked for voltage to the fuel shutoff valve on top of the inj pump?

I would think that if you have fuel getting to the IP (pressure at the schraeder valve) it would be a bad inj pump.
