I would love to find something like a copy of the window sticker or build sheet.
I'm gonna call ford tomorrow to see what i can get.

I'm trying to decifer the following info from the door tag but it's kinda printed out of alignment with the tag info:

9E = Special White / 87 = ? 87 is not listed until 1988. Is the truck tu-toned? If not, 87 applies to something else.

Having the codes on the Certification Label mis-aligned is typical, makes it difficult to figure out.
Look below where it says "Spring" for two (or more) letters.
Took me awhile to decode this jazz.
Having to step over one Basset Hound to get oughtta the chair in front of the computer, then walk around the table to the microfiche viewer, then step over another to sit down in front of it, is the reason.

(sigh) FoMoCo used the B VIN engine code in 1979 for 4 different engines. Is it a gasser or a diesel? The only way I found out which engines were offered, was to troll thru the engine sections of the truck parts catalog for the applications
300 1V I-6 (not installed in 700 and larger series trucks) / 370 4V / Two diesels, Caterpillar V190-3208 & Cummins KTA.

If you could help me with this VIN, that would be awesome! Really need to find out what the rear axle is so we can get brakes and seals for it.
