Ignition rod

91 in my sig.

Went to start it yesterday, key turned freely and then power wont go off. So I went out and bought a cylinder and switch. Put the cylinder in, same. Got the steering column down and was gonna swap out the switch but noticed the rod that actuates the switch was loose on the cylinder side.

How do I get re-attach it/see if its broke? Doesn't seem like there's anyway to get up there.

You need to pull the steering wheel, turn signal plate and the column shroud to get to it. Probably the actuator is bad.

AAARRRRGGGGGG!!!!!!
Why cant it ever just be a quick fix on this pickup?

Now that thats over with, while I have the steering wheel off can I fix the turn signal? It doesn't cancel when turning right, going left work fine.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...-actuator.html Have a look at the post by jas88 in the thread in this link. It is a very good writeup on fitting a new actuator. And it is a major PITA.
Yes, when you have the wheel off the turn signal switch is looking at you, probably one of the little plastic bits is broken.
