thermostat removal

hey guy's, ive got a 90 f150 with the 302 and im having extreme troubles with the right bolt on the thermostat housing... how'd you guy's do it?

oh btw. all i have to use is a half inch wrench and sockets

The distributor is in the way of mine so I can't even get to it without taking the damn distributor off. Turns the simple short project into one that I keep putting off.

i seem to remember a open ended wrench and many many short movements lol not too hard, just annoying.

I'm fairly sure that I did it with a box end wrench. I know I didnt have to touch the distributor.

Agreed, there shouldn't be any need to touch the distributor. A regular combination wrench gets the job done...a ratcheting wrench does it quicker.
