i have an 86 150 4x4 adn run 33x12.50's they fit alright only rub when i turn but i want to get teh front end level with teh back. problem is i cant find leveling springs, ive seen coil spring spacers but i dont like the idea personally. what should i do and where can i find leveling springs?
I bought a set of leveling springs from JC Whitney for around $140. These springs do not have a brand listed but when they arrived they turned out to be Superlift springs with adjustment bushings included. I am very happy with the way my truck handles and rides now (also added Bilstein 5100 series shocks which I also recommend). The front only came up about 1.5-2" but it did come very close to perfectly level.
thats abotu all i really need its alowed to be a little high in the rear it is a truck after all. were there any alignment issues after installing the springs?
The superlift springs came with a bushing to correct the front end geometry after the springs are installed. I actually let the shop that does my allignments do the work (they did it for $75 and the amount of time it would have taken me in my driveway was worth that much). My truck handles and performs much better and I don't have that annoying see-saw motion when I cut my wheels in a parking lot anymore. The springs aren't as harsh as I thought they would be (I tackle some VERY rough terrain at times and it still rides better than many trucks I have ridden in lately).
