I was wondering if somebody could help me out here? I have a 2003 6.0 and i have a EGR delete kit installed. Im still having problems with it acting weird when i go up a hill. It acts like its going over rumble strips especially at speeds over 55mph. I have error codes p0403 and p0405 i know these will show up with the delete kit. I cleaned my EBP sensor and tube because they were plugged. But it didnt help. I unplugged it and it still has the problem. I was having problems when i would start it. It would run for a little and then stall out and then i couldnt get it started. I had EGR problems before and replaced EGR valve. Thats why i decided to do the delete kit. Any ideas?
Bucking at or above 55, low power. Does it smoke a lot on acceleration? Does it idle really rough? If so could be injector related. My truck is a 04 but it has the 03 motor. I've been really sick of the bumpy ride lately so I had my tires balanced today. Lol 3 of them needed over 7 ounces of weights. That was my bumpy ride problem solved.
It doesnt smoke. I had my tires balanced also wasnt the problem. It will accelerate when I tromp on it. if im going up a grade it seems worse. It feels like its getting to much fuel or something
I have it unplugged. So then how would I know if its bad
I would leave the EBP plugged in personally. IMO it does not help to unplug it unless you have an electrical short in the sensor (and then you might see it w/ a code thrown).
Back to the MAP sensor .... I mentioned the EBP because when you looked at it you found that it was plugged, your system was clearly full of crud. If there is that much crud being made, the MAP hose could be plugged also. If you haven't already, pull the hose and see if it is clogged. If it is, clean it, but then you will still need to understand why all the crud is being made. It could be the FICM, or injectors, or excessive idling, poor fuel, or you could need a flash update.
