Back fire?

so i'm up in buffalo so yeah its cold but when i go to start my truck in the morning and start to drive off it always backfires till it gets warm?? i'm thinking it could be cause i have a exahaust leak......

My 1974 does the same thing, no exhast leaks. guess I should let it warm up a little first?

Sounds like the choke is not closing. Not exhaust related.
