It sounds like a truck! I remember what they used to sound like. Guess I'm older. I'd rather think about how well it WORKS. When my 2nd DMF started going I was pulling horses 10:00 P.M. 30 miles from home. Besides, why have a feminine clutch in a masculine looking truck?
Valair it is then! Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it. Now just deciding if i wanna spend the extra bucks and go with the 350hp clutch incase i do some mods . Im sure youll be hearing more from me in the near future. Thanks guys.
my gear roll over was OBNOXIOUS, when ever i could i would keep my foot on the clutch at all times, i even hated letting it idol when i was around and im a big fan of leaving it running when i run into a store real quick of something. but its taken like...8000 miles and its not all that bad any more but its still there a little bit, not nearly as bad as it was.
I'm with Talyn, They had several ratings at the time I bought the last one. Stock or stock up to 350, then 400 or some thing like that. I can't imagine they jump like that now. Maybe so, I have not needed one lately.
I just got my Valair last month. For the kit and SMF, it was like $600 something. I too bought the 350 HP unit. I think the "stock" replacement is only like $50 less.
I have no noticeable gear roll-over until 4th. 4th was terrible when I first drove it (sounded pretty rough below 1500 RPM). But after about 200 miles it seems to be quieting down. We shall see.
But the kit really impressed me. Came with fairly detailed instructions (they differ from the factory shop manuals a little bit), and all the bolts to replace EVERY factory bolt. You'll have to provide your own threadlock though.
