Over drive light flashing
I went to pick up my gf n all her stuff friday night with a 18 foot trailor my truck did fine going over there. When i had the thing fully loaded with her 89 f150 ext cab, both bed were fully loaded with furniter, n the cab of her truck stuffed with her stuff. When i went to leave my over drive light on/off light started flashing, but it drove fine. Now that i have no trailor my truck shifts really hard through all gears, n the over drive light is still flashing. Does anyone know what might be going on.

The flashing overdrive light means something is wrong with the transmission. A code has been stored in the computer's memory to record what's wrong. The ONLY way to know what's wrong is to get the codes read.

Get the codes read and maybe we'll know. Without the codes all anyone can do is guess. My guess is that you have an intermittent electrical problem. I might be right, I may be WAY off. Without the codes nobody knows.
