Just bought a 2004 F-250. It has no boost at all and looses power. I took it to ford and the tech was stumped!!!!!!! The tech is a long time certified tech. He said if it was this it should be doing that and so on and so on. I purchased a used turbo to replace it with and when I pulled the old one it looks new. The egr has been blocked. I cleaned the port for the map. Any quick test I can do to narrow this down???
Thanks
Tim
a back the cat off. loosen the 2 15mm bolts and road test it.
check fuel pressure
check icpv @koeo should be around .14v
chek ipr @ 185 eot at idle
check icp# vs icpdsd @ 185 eot at idle.
I think he means turbo inlet side bad04 not outlet
Ok got it! I too have been having what seems to be a low boost = low power problem. I know my turbo back exhaust is not perfectly lined up to the turbo and leaks a little. Thought that may have been my problem by the wording in his post.
