I would say that the injectors are fine and that the prolonged "sit" gave some time for the oil to drain back and that was your problem. If you have to let it sit like that for a spell again check the oil level ( yes it is the plug on top of the HPOP) when you park it, before you start it check it again if it has gone down refill with oil to within a 1/2" of the top and see if she fores right up.

You are better off sending it to Joey at Terminator Engineering he is a God when it comes to these. I have never heard of someone rebuilding their own, Plus for what Joey will charge you it is not worth trying it yourself.
