Looking to upgrade my grill. Thought I saw a 2011 F350 style grill that would fit a 1999. Any one seen these. Will consider others. Just not sure where to start. Did not see one on Riffraff or Strictly Diesel.
I think there are 05-07 style grills available that are modified so you don't need to swap the bumper out as well. I can't imagine anything 08 and newer working since they attatch to the hood.

Did not think of that. Previous owner replace busted grill, nothing behind it so it looks crapy to me. Painted every thing red. put a excursion velance on that I like but has no lights in the holes. Wanting to dress it up a little. May just try finding somthing to go behind it, not sure how to attach. Do like the look of the 2011 grills though.
Also been looking at different grills online this morning. Most say inserts, do they just cover the existing grill? If you look at my picture, is that a '99 grill? Heve not seen the velance like that on an Excursion, so when looking for lights I don't know what year would fit it. The front just looks unfinished.
His truck had a chrome bumper as well. I looked at a few Excursions on Autotrader and didn't see any valance like yours. I'm thinking yours may be aftermarket.

When they were painting it the guy at the body shop had it laying around and they decided to put it on. I like it but don't know where to start looking for lights. Still not sure whether to change grill or put some sort of expanded metal or mesh behind it. Think chrome would look good. Not a big fan of the small bars. Does the one on mine look like a '99? May go see guy at the body shop for info so if I find something I like I can make sure it will fit
This is ONE style that this seller has - (my personal favorite as a firefighter). He has a lot of others. Not sure if this is something you feel would comeplement your rig or not. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=130486914676
I would leave the front valance.....but change the grill to the 2004 harley davidson edition grille 2004 Ford Harley-Davidson F-350 - Front Angle - 1280x960 Wallpaper
There would be no modification needed to swap the grille. Even if you used the 2005-2007 grille, you need to change the support behind it. (to do it properly). Here is the front valance you have. 1999-04 Ford F-250F-350 Xenon Front Air Dam/ Bumper Cover
Also change those paddle mirror to the tow style, that will help change the look even more.

Was a 2007 that I saw. Was reading without my glasses

Yeah been thinking about mirrors. Need to finish the front first. Thanks for finding the valance

No problem, I still think that the 2004 harley grill would look killer (you really need to look at more pics of that grill), and you can add round lights to the valance, and you can add ford factory fog lights to the bumper as well.....

Don't have a Harley, never even rode a motor cycle. Lights are a must. Now that I know that the valance is a Xenon Air Dam, I know what I am trying to fit. Most of the Grills I see are ABS Plastic with a chrome finish. Worry about flaking. But most chrome parts are plastic so it may be fine.
