E5AE-C3B is a 1985 bare block casting number. Since casting numbers cannot be cross referenced to Ford part numbers, and the same block was installed in F150/350's, Bronco's, Econolines and FoMoCo Passenger Cars, it could either be a 302 or 351W.
Beginning in the late 1950's, ALL engine block casting number prefixes have an E as the 4th digit. It's meaningless as it refers to Engineering only!
The E does not refer to any engine size or what vehicle the engine was installed in.
ID number: D2OF-6059-AA = Ford part number: E0AZ-6019-B (replaced D6AZ-6019-A; D3OZ-6019-A & C5OZ-6019-A) .. Timing Cover.
Fits: 1965/79 302 // 1969/79 351W (1979 LTD/Grand Marquis 351W w/o EEC).
Fits: 1980/89 (and later) 302 / 1980/89 (and later) 351W // Note: 1980 and later sold new in CA vehicles used a different timing cover.
ID number: D2AF-11131-BA = I could not find a cross reference for basic number 11131. The only starter ID basic numbers I'm aware of are 11000 or 11001.
When u say non limited slip what does that mean, or do you strictly only do numbers? Will the starter fit the 302 in question? D2AF-11131-BA-2A
That means it's an open differential. No Equal-loc or Trac-loc, or "posi" is is often (incorrectly) said.
That means you will usually spin only one wheel if you spin the tires.
