DPF problems

Hey, so over the last week my dpf has gone into regen mode everytime I have driven the truck. I got curious today as to if I am leaking oil, and removed my boots of the pipes. I noticed oil and water (coolant i think, it was hard to smell over the strong smell of rotella oil) in the pipes and in the bottom of the intercooler. Is my egr going or my oil cooler? Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

oil level? Degas bottle level? What about at your tail pipes? Anything there?

Look inside the air cleaner tube. What do you see there?

Sounds like maybe a EGR valve/cooler.

My oil level is just below the full mark. My degas bottle has coolant in it, it has gone down though. My tailpipe is still clean. There is a little bit of oil in the air cleaner tube leading to the turbocharger. I'm guessing this oil is from the crankcase breather. The weird part is all of this oil and coolant is before where the egr coolers meet the air intake. So it has me wondering if it could be a seal in one of my turbos as well.

EGR/Coolers I suspect. Get it pressure tested. Tell them all of the symtoms and coolant creep.

I would say the water could be from moisture build up in your intercooler, this is a common problem on the 6.4..and the oil is probably from your breather.

Hopefully that is all it is. It finally stopped regening today, and I threw my buddies car on my trailer to try to make the engine work and hopefully clean it out a bit. I'm going to take it to ford this week and have them look at it, see if im worrying about nothing.

It's normal, as Slowmans said. Be advised that with nothing for the dealer mechanic to "see" and no codes, they'll just send you on your way.
