On my early '99 I have the big towing morrors that are adjustable from inside. While deer hunting my son hit a small tree with the pass. side mirror and it folded in but the large mirror popped out and broke.
Can I just get a replacement mirror or do I have to replace the entire unit ? If I can get a mirror where is a good place, any sponsors ?
Thanks..
Do the heated ones fit the unheated sockets?
My late '99 mirrors are not heated and it's hard to see in bad weather when the mirror is all fogged up.
It would be a simple matter of running a couple of wires to a switch
cangim or whomever knows......laffin
are there connectors on the back side of the mirror ?
it looks like there should be two or three clips to fit the
base ?
Well I'm glad cangim that you got your order... I've exchanged 27 e mails with fastpartsnetwork in the past hour and finally cried uncle and told them to cancel anything I'd ordered...this was one of those cluster "things" and I've had enough.. I'll just go to my stealership and pay what they want...... I never in my 62 years thought ordering a mirror would be such fun...I need a valium and several scotch and sodas now......whew
I just replaced the passenger mirror on mine about 2 weeks ago. I needed the glass ASAP so I went to the local Ford house. It was around $40 for the big upper glass piece. It came with the plastic pins and instructions. Note: Read the instructions. It will save you 30 min. of disassembling / reassembling parts that don't need to be removed. The bottom glass on mine was not broken so I did not get that part.
$40 is for the non-heated variety. I had a trailer to hook up to so I didn't have time to look into wiring a heated set. I'm sure the heated ones will be more.

Figures.
Do you know if the mounting system is the same for heated vs unheated mirrors besides the two electrical connections?
I have two perfectly good non-adjustable, non-heated mirror assemblies that are good enough to see around the trailer when I am towing, but in wet weather they are useless without heat. It would be fairly simple to mount some heated mirrors and run a couple of wires through the arms.
I tried to find that also on the ford parts stores online but they didn't even list a heated mirror just standard and signal
