Another Oil Leak Thread

I have done some searching and haven't quite found an answer I am looking for. My '02 SD has been leaking a little oil for some time. I have been waiting for it to warm up to chase it down and that time is almost here. I normally drive about 3 miles round trip to work. On those short days, I only get a couple of drops of oil after I shut the engine off. Three days a week I go to school at night and put about 16 extra miles on the truck. When i have those extra miles, I get small puddles of oil on the ground.
It looks like its in the back and on the passenger side. Any ideas why so much more oil ends up on the ground when the engine is fully warmed up? I am assuming that the oil pressure is no different from just started to fully heated.
Thanks in Advance.

Derek

The valley drains in the rear of the passenger side, so thats why its there, you probably need to find out what is leaking into the valley, those 3 miles maybe you don't kick the engine back enough to slosh to the drain area, but the 16 you might travel faster or accelerate harder kicking more to the rear? Likely that either the turbo pedistal orings, EBPV if leaking in the rear, HPOP lines or plugs if its from the front.

Like Alan said ^^^.Clean that valley up real good with some Simple Green or non-chlorinated degreaser.Wash with a water hose. After the water has dried, inspect for a fresh leak.
Make sure to cover the alternator and p.s. pump with a plastic bag.Might want to spray a little W-D 40 on the connection ends of your braided oil hoses as well.Rust can develop inside of them and make it hard to get them apart in the future.....I seen it in mine.
