I got a radiator for a friend a short while ago, from Christan radiator on Ebay, all aluminum very nice radiator, fit was perfect on it.. I will be getting one for my pickup later this spring, price on it would be 235 I think for a 3 core aluminum for my 460.. I'm sold on them!
I had the aluminum one and returned it. Nothing wrong with them i just did not care for it. I then went to Oreilly's recently and got the 3 core that is the 24" long and is made of brass and copper/no plastic for around $220ish and lifetime warrantee. I am more than happy with it and glad i got away from the aluminum one because the brass/copper rad. cools much better in my truck than the aluminum one did. I actually need to put a higher thermostat in it but i will wait to see what it does in the summer, this thing runs to cool in my opinion. I am in the middle of doing a dual electric fan setup with an aluminum shroud and a Ron Francis Wiring Ice Box Controller that i just ordered today. When i get it finished in the near future i will post some pictures and let you know how it works.
Usually, I use the JBG super cooler radiator replacement, which is what montana highboy posted. The one word of advice I will give though, is to get the biggest radiator you can afford, you won't be sorry. For a simple example, I had a couple rigs with no fan shroud and stard cooling radiators, and at idle or low speeds, they'd get up there in temps...but a swap to the super cooler darn near eliminated the need for a shroud, and the rigs stayed plenty cool on trail rides or idling in rush hour traffic.
There's a company I went through for my replacement which was called Performance Radiator. Their logo has a big cactus and a circle with red and blue on it. If you Google long enough you can find them. They're not cheap, though. I think the replacement for Buford, which was a super cooler, was around $360, but it's a good copper/brass radiator, and looks to be well built.
Anyway, it's an option....not cheap, but I've never had a problem with their products.
