well i've done the best i know how to look for the transfer case **** for my '65 F100 4x4 and it appears that NO ONE reproduces this item. from my knowledge i know down and forward is 4low up one is neutral, and then 2, and then 4 high. or maybe i'm backwards on this. but anyway, i'd like to get a replacement ****, and i'm wondering if maybe i should just snag one off of a later model at a junk yard or something. i called dennis carpenter and they referred me to flashback f100 and they don't have it either.
sounds like the same shift pattern I have had on many 4X4's through the years, I know they make custom and replacement ***** for Jeeps, try quadratec.com
are you looking for the absolute perfect truck correct **** or will anything with the right gear pattern do. You must have a different transfer case than my 64. My 64 4-lo is all the way toward the dash, then neutral, then 2 hi then 4 hi all in a straight line. Or at least that's what i seem to remember.
being a 65 it should have the dana 24 correct? if so it uses the same shift pattern as the ford np205. Jeffs bronco graveyard sells a billet replacement for the np205 for about 30 bucks. this is the route i plan to go on my 64
Are you interested in a brand new one ? i know a feller around here that has a coupla them in his boneyard i could have a look if you're interested. may be about a month. we've had record amounts of snow and the last time i talked to him he couldn't even see the trucks, they were buried. anyway i believe the shift pattern on these trucks is all the way to the seat is 4 high, next up is 2 wd, next up is neutral and all the way to dash is 4 low. if you want a used one send me a pm. Randy
I can take a look to make sure the transfer case shift pattern on my 65 f100 4x4 if you like but it sounds like most of the posts ahead of mine have it just about figured out. I can take a pic of the exact **** if needed. Just let me know.
