i would consider even lowering the rear... i got an f250 4wd and they di sit high stock... has stock size tires so it looks funny with the rear so high.. but everywhere i look to lower rear end is for an f150
no no...I want the front higher...consider that my F150 is a Centurion, crew cab with stock suspension. The front springs are just not rated for the weight on them so it sags worse than if it was a long bed super cab.
My list is:
SKyjacker leveling kit
skyjacker caster/camber/balljoint nuts
steering stabalizer (I had 35's once and every little rock put to to the ditches)
ProCOmp shocks all around.
33" tires on my ALco wheels
I do not now how to post pictures on my work computer, but if you look in
my albums, I have before and after pictures with the following:
stock 31x10.5x15, 2 inch coil spacers with 31x10.5x15, 2 inch coil spacers with 33x12.5x15, 6 inch lift with 33x12.5x15 and 6 inch lift with 35x12.5x15.
If you ask, I can post the pictures later when I get home.
Now, just a thought I had…It is probably best to get the 33s and the kit at the same time.
Unfortunatly the previous owner has 31 on front and 32 on back.
Despite this, I think I should just a jack to raise the chassis 2" in front or x" front or rear to get an idea of what it will look like....reason I go through this effort is to find out what I need to do to the rear. If I can spend $130 on 2" spacers the the rear looks perfect with NO change...then I am done. I just hate to put over $200 into a kit that could make the truck ride rougher or have that raked look again after I install the rear spacers/leaf.
The front has settled a bit so now it's sits perfectly level.
2 inch coils up front, new longer shocks and Monroe coil over shocks in the rear. Ride is spectacular.
I put some 33" Mud Rovers on (1/2 tread or more) for $160...used a jack to make it 2" in front and 2.5" in back....was pretty disappointed.....after I let the jack down
It is a for sure thing for me.
Haha, thanks and i think its a great look without loosin driveability . I would lift it higher but its a daily driver.
ya, i'm not a fan of huge lifts. they look meaner with as big tires you can fit as low as you can without rubbing, plus lower center of gravity is always good.
