Thanks for this thread man, good call. I've been trying to do homework on lifts and tryna figure out what I really want and purpose I want it to serve. With the cost of full suspension lifts, financially it just feasible at the moment. But putting on significant lift means...getting bigger tires...and re-gearing...even MORE money ontop. I started looking into a small 2" body lift, but decided I don't wana be the guy who 1000 ppl say "told ya so..." Leveling kits have been on my mind, and this thread was perfect for me to come across.... I'm not big on massive lifts either to be honest... I think the pics of the trucks in this thread look jus as BADASS. Actually....exactly how I want my truck to sit. Mines a daily driver as well but I also wana do some playing around. Just wanted to say thanks.

I was in your corner once as well... Like the look of a 4 inch lift, just not ready for all the little things that can and will go wrong over time. I run on an outer beach 4 months out of the year, so I just wanted a little more suspension travel in the front and this was perfect for me. I am mounting a set of 32 x 11.50's (BFG A/T's) next month. I'll post up some pics when thats done, and let you know how clearances are then.

A shot of her on the beach- the front end has settled down a bit but still has a ton of room for bigger sneakers.

when you put on your leveling kit did you need to get new shocks or a drop pitman arm? A shop told me i did and i didn't know if he was pulling my leg or if i actually need it. I'm running 33's on my 96 if that makes any difference. i have a 2" spacer kit off ebay.

For 2" you shouldn't need either. You can run stock shocks and the pitman arm shouldn't be an issue. While you are changing the geometry of the front suspension, it is not as drastic as a higher lift.

I recently raised the front to level my truck with Moog cc824 springs. Keeping the stock front shocks and pitman arm, I haven't notice any difference in how it drives.

Pictured are 31x10.50r15 tires

my lift spacers are 1.5" thick, but says they will lift it about 2". i didn't think id need a new pitman arm, that sounds a little extreme. i figured i'd possibly need new shocks. I'll take the spring out and try to put it in, thanks for the info!
