I am looking for a program I can download or it can be web based to remind me of important dates. Anybody ever heard of such a thing? I think my kids' laptops have something similar, but they are running windows 7,i am running xp. any ideas? thanks!!
X2 on Outlook. It'll do a number of things, most people barely use any of its functions, but the reminder function is great. You can update the item to reflect how much of the project is done, set a new due date, track progress, etc.
You might consider something more manly, like unicorns or kittens.
In all seriousness, I still use a regular calendar and write dates down. If it's something really important I set my cell to remind me. Call me old fashioned or something...
Biggest thing with any of them is that you have to remember to LOOK at them. (my personal problem)
I've tried a few, and if they don't work it's my fault. Currently I use something that made something up in Excel ( macros are fun -- if you're a nerd).
Just a note about the calendar. I worked with a lady who was the most organized person that I've ever seen. She used a little pocket calendar, while most were having fun with their little Palm PDAs. She was NEVER wrong. It's mostly about doing it.
If you use Yahoo email they have a very easy-to-use calendar that you can choose to have it send you an email reminder for whatever time you specify before the event.
