one reason i like push button starter switches is if i need to back up the truck a few inches or so while hooking up trailers , i can stand by the door and give it a bump !

Get a new(used) column and fix the problem. Putting a push button switch in is going to fix anything

It was constructive. With out that question we would on not know his column was broken, and needed repair. And that the push button switch is going to fix NOTHING

That is why they made emergency brakes and PARK

Well if I tach weld to fix the column. Then I can't start the truck. Cause I can't lift the wheel up. So that's why I wanted to put in a button.

Or if you put in a column you would FIX the problem, NOT hack up your harness AND the the truck would start. All for about 10 minutes worth of work
