How do you do a KOEO with pusbutton start?
2016 Taurus has pushbutton start. I don't know how to do a KOEO, key on engine off. with a key'd ignition you can turn the ignition on without turning the engine on. Mechanics would need to do this to work on the engine. Sorry I had to post this here but on the Taurus forum I'm not getting any answers. Is there a trick like pushing the gas pedal to the floor three times then hold it down and push the start button without having your foot on the brake? I'm guessing here, it's just an example.

It's a simple answer to your question. And by saying that I'm NOT trying to make you feel dumb in any way for asking the question. I'm just surprised that no one has had the answer for you. That's all. The way to perform the KOEO is to not push on the brake pedal while pushing the start button. Really it's that simple. You should be able to do 2 pushes of the button for the full accessories then the third push turns everything back off. Then when you want to start the car simply push down the brake pedal while pushing the start button and the car will start right up.
