Look at your intake tubes that comes off the turbo and go into the head. On the right side tube there is a hose that comes up and goes to a small unit mounted on the firewall. You'll see an electrical plug going into it also. I believe that's what you're looking for.
i am trying to install my chip i just got and it tells me to tie into the iat sensor....i see your truck is a 95, is that sensor on the air box of yours?
I'll check it out after work 2morrow....i appreciate your help man. Is it on the firewall in the 94.5's and different on other trucks....this truck is a pain in the ***...i find **** every day thats different than 95 and up trucks
I didn't look and see that we're talking about a 94.5. Mines a 97 with the air cleaner on the left wheel well. Is yours turbo or not? Air cleaner in the middle of the block? It's got to be somewhere in the intake system, even if it's a hose that goes to the iat located somewhere else.
If you do have a powerstroke, the air box is on the drivers side fenderwell. The IAT sensor is between the outside of the airbox and drivers side fender.
My ford coffee table book says the IAT sensor is only used to enable the EBPV, nothing about fueling
thanks for all the info guys...i know this supposed "chip" is b.s but i already shelled out the money for it so i gotta try it...the exhaust is 4" turbo back thats it....air filter will b next...anything to try and help with power....39.5 tsl's r kinda robbing it...i will post some pics of it pretty soon...it is an an extremely low number 94.5 powerstroke....well thanx again guys...any advice and help is greatly appreciated
