Protester vs. Bulldozer

I just read about the U.S. student that laid in front of a moving Israeli bulldozer and got run over, then it backed up and ran over her again. She was trying to protect a terrorist's house from being demolished.

Maybe I'm not as nice of a guy as I think I am, but this just sounds like an act of stupidity to me. It's not like the bulldozer "jumped" in her path, and the blade prevents good vision to the driver. It accomplishes nothing and only leaves her family to grieve.

It reminds me of the anti-contra protester that laid in front of a moving train expecting it to stop on a dime. Oops, bad call.

Wasn't there a similar scene in Austin Powers with a steamroller?

I just saw that on the news.....looked like a D-9 or a D-10...

thats a big dozer......and NO you can't see much of what's in front of you in one of those.........

all you can see is the hood, the back of the blade, and about a foot an a half of ground just in front of the right side track......

you have a blind spot about 15 feet in front of the blade......

so the operator could might or might not have known she was there.........

On the news it said she was standing in front of the dozer......
either way .........that hadda hurt !!!! OUCH

I have tremendous respect for someone with that kind of commitment, but I have to ask, shouldn't she have been committed before she did something like that?

If it was done in the USA, her family would sue and win hundreds of millions of dollars. "If the D9 doesn't fit, you can not floor it"
