ok, i am NOT paranoid. not completly at least. i usually keep quite a stash of bullets available though. not like an arsenal but enough for me to get the job done when the crap hits the fan.
so in all of this Iraq war stuff i took a glance at my "SHELL-F"
I wish I had a shelf to put mine on. For now, I have to have mine stored in one of those plastic storage bins. Several hundred rounds of everything from .22LR to .338 Win Mag for the long guns, up to .454 Casull in the pistols, and 20 and 12 gauge shotguns.
Now my Dad is another story. He doesn't have A shelf, he has to have SHELVES. God save the neighborhood if his house were to ever catch fire.
Geez, now I've got stash envy. Mine isn't even a third the size of yours, but yea, I've got one. Saving up my nickles for an MP5 I've been thinking about picking up some more ammo for the HK since I figure there will be a run on it. Not like we'll need it, but hey, I was a boy scout. You want to hear paranoid, my buddy has over 200 (no b.s!) long rifles and handguns. He's been wheeling and dealing them for years. Heck, he even has a cannon. I'll just go to his house in case of an emergency
From: I'm lost somewhere in NJ -- can someone please find me?!?!?!?
Protester vs. Bulldozer
My family has a house in the ‘burbs, and a vacation place in the middle of nowhere. I transport a few of my guns with me back & forth when we go to the vacation house, and have a few that reside in permanent strategic locations in each house. As far as ammo goes, I've got well over a thousand rounds at each house -- a good mix of everything from .22, .380, .357, .38, 12-guage (slugs, buckshot, field loads, turkey loads...), .410, 7mm Rem Mag, etc. I buy in bulk because I've been known to go through 500-1000 rounds on a weekend when the mood strikes me (shoot more .22 & 12-gauge than anything else). Ammo is kept in secure locations in proper environmental conditions.
Also have at least 15 gallons of water (5-gal water cooler jugs) at the vacation house, twice as much at the permanent house. Pantries are stocked at both houses with canned food & non-perishables, lots of first aid stuff everywhere, and a 7,000 watt generator sitting in a garage full of tools & building materials.
I've never been a boy scout, but I like their motto.
When my stash of semi auto rifle ammo is below a couple thousand rounds I just don't feel right. That's SKS and AR15 each.
I try and keep......, well let's just say if my house burns down, you don't want to be my neighbor. I use gun safes but there is only so much ammo you can put in a safe.
I got me a real special weapon if any of them Camel Jockey types show up at my casba.......See .I had a friend who is a biologist over at the Zoo and he got several samples of skin from a Camel , Goriilla , and a Transvestite who works in the Big Lizzard department. Anywho..we finally got us a Botox Ugly mix that is so potent that anybody that gets an injection will have to be transported back to their native country by Fedex and will require lots of plastic surgery to reconstruct their sexual whatevers and take lots of Gasex cause they pass wind like a camel...Whoa Doggies.....Allah is going to protect me ...I think i've got my turbin wraped counter clockwise......the threads on my head must be backards...oh well!!!!!your humble servant......Mustafa Bin Drinkin ...
