trans swap wiring
I am thinking of putting a e4od trans into my 93 f-350 that has a blown zf5 trans in it. I have a rebuilt one with no miles on it. The question is the wiring for the e4od what do i need out of my donor truck or is it easier to take out the wire harness and swap. My 93 has a computor box behind the glove box just like the donor truck, which I thought was the control box for the e4od. Is it possible the wire harness is the same for auto and manual trans just certain plugin not used.

The brain for the e40d is in the computer on the driver side next to the fender. The one hehind the glove box is the abs computer. I would get the wiring harness from the donor truck. The less you have to hack up the wiring the better.
