AOD-E/4R70W problems

Ok so this started as a 1st and 2nd gear shudder in my 94 5.0 2wd f150 (147k on truck, 75K on trans rebuild) that progressivly got worse. Im new to autos (not by choice) and after much research decided that I would change the fluid and filter (14qt w/ TC of mercon V)

When I backed the truck out of the drive it slipped BAD. So I drove around the block and let it idle for a bit to get the heat up and check the fluid. showed nothing on the stick so I added a qt, drove again. Better this time but still slipped, added a 24oz bottle of lucas trans stuff. Stick still showed low, added a half qt. This stopped the slipping, and ran great.

At this time I decide to go through with the TCC disable mod found here; https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...d-shutter.html Afterwards drove about 10 miles switch was working great then the OD light started blinking. Took another 15 miles to get home and added another half qt fluid to top it off (16qts and 24oz lucus total) still driving good but still with 1st, 2nd gear shudder. Drove another 10 miles to where I could un-do the wiring trick to see if that is what caused the OD light to blink. Truck sat for a couple hours, left again and OD light still on a it started shifting hard and trying to stall at stops.

I got it home and pulled batt cable to reset computer with no luck. Pulled the pan off agin to see if the filter was loose, no luck. Drove it 20 miles to try to get it to show a code, no luck. It showed way over full on the stick after this trip so I pumped out 1.5qts, no luck. It will barely drive and completely stalls when pulled into 2nd manual (foot on brake, stopped) it only does it in second though every other gear is fine.

I assume the TC is going out to begin with (shudder) but could the solenoids be causing this? Is the trans shot? TC bad? It only has 75K on this rebuild. Im at a loss and dont want to shotgun parts at it or drop 1k-2500 on a rebuild and that not cure it. Any help would be great

I am not an expert but here are my thoughts. You made two mistakes along the way, first was to mess with the electrics when you got it shifting good, second mistake was to clear the codes instead of reading them.
Having said that, it sounds to me like there is a problem with the front pump or its pressure relief valve.
Try this, without starting the truck pull the trans dipstick, clean it, put it back in, pull it out and note the exact fluid level on the stick. Replace it and then start the engine, let it idle in Park and check the trans dipstick fluid level. If the level is exactly the same then you may have a front pump problem.
Hopefully this will give your post another bump for others to comment.
