Bed Rail Width

Hey guys I am going to pick up the bed tomorrow for my truck. Can anyone tell me the width of the bed at the bed rails. My plan is to just turn the bed upside down, and put it on my flat bed. I just want to make sure its wide enough, or else I will get some 2x4s and make it wider and make a little craddle for it. By the way its a 2001 F350.

i think its right around 72"

The bed rails are 75.5" at the widest part. The bed itself is another 1.5" added to that.

hmm 75.5. My flat bed is 77. so I would have just enough. I think I might put some 2x4's on there just to be safe. I gotta go about 175 miles home with it, and over 2 bridges. I think it should be okay on there.
