Sirius using Aux input

Sirius using Aux input
2007 E350 with an aux button but no input jack.
Right now the satelite is through the FM and it stinks!
From what I read on some threads I should buy a pie connector, which will give me the input jack so the aux button will work.
If I plug the output of the Sirius reciever into the aux input will it work?
Is the aux input an amplified input?
