Well, I guess the truck is getting old ('09, 145K on the clock). For quite a while, I've been using the 3.5mm aux input to the stereo ("premium" sound with SYNC, no nav, no subwoofer, XLT package) as an interface for the computer. When Sirius starts sucking, I can punch up Pandora. Pretty nice.
Unfortunately, in the last few weeks, the aux input has simply gone stupid. Voice control still works, but if I press AUX, the radio just stares at me blankly. The 3.5mm input is dead, and I can't get to the Bluetooth configuration either.
I have not yet tried pulling the ground clamps for a hard reboot, but that's next. Anyone have any other thoughts?
I appreciate it, Jaclyn... unfortunately, after hitting AUX, MENU doesn't do anything. Hard to complete a master reset when I can't get there!
To save yourself a trip to the dealership, you can try a temporary pull of the SYNC fuse.
The location can be found in the Fuses and Relay section of your owner's manual. With the vehicle off, pull the fuse for 3 minutes, reinsert, and attempt to use SYNC.
