2000 Navi Airbag Light Flashing_Steady
Hello Everyone:
First post, new too the site and find it too be an incredible wealth of information and from great group dedicated people. Thank you in advance. happy to be here!!
So, I realize that my Navi just started to flash it airbag indicator light then it goes steady. Here's the pattern I noticed; It flashes 3 times hesitates for a few seconds then flashes 2 more times it does this a series of 4 times then it continues to stay on.
After reading some of the other post am I to believe that it's an error code 32? If it is an error 32 would it fall under this category?

Which I think maybe an issue with a "Clock Spring"
Am I way off here?
If this is so how much would an indy shop charge for diag. and replacing this? Forget dealer...Yikes!!
Your feedback would greatly be appreciated!!
Thanks

If you decide to just "chance it" a new clockspring is not too expensive from a online Ford parts dealer and a used one from a salvage yard should only cost about $25.00.

No I think you're dead on. After 11 years of use the contacts are just worn out. It will cost your 3X the cost of the clock spring just to get it diagnosed at the dealer. IMO, it's worth the risk to change it and see if the light goes out.
